At Royals and Ace, we’re dedicated to showcasing the strength of ultimate in Richmond and building community through sport. These teams are managed by Reign Ultimate and can be reached at reign@vul.ca for any questions you may have.
Royals Overview
With Royals Mixed in 2025, you’ll represent Richmond on the world stage as we compete at the Canadian Ultimate Championships in Edmonton, and at the Pan American Ultimate Championships in Punta Cana. The summer season runs from April to August, including tryouts, practices, and tournaments. Practices are three nights weekly in Richmond.

- BCUC (July 5–6 in Surrey, BC)
- CUC (August 14–17 in Edmonton, AB)
- PAUC (November 30–December 7 in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic)
Royals Tryouts
All athletes interested in playing for Royals this summer must register for tryouts.
- Date(s): April 5–6, 2025
- Time: 10:00am–1:00pm (both days)
- Location: MacNeill Secondary Grass (6411 No. 4 Road)
- What to bring: light shirt, dark shirt, cleats, and water bottle.
- Please note there are no public washrooms at this site.
If you are out of province due to school or other personal reasons and unable to make any of the above tryouts, please register for tryouts and indicate your absence during the registration process.
Practices
For May 2025:
- Mondays and Wednesdays 9:00pm–11:00pm
- Saturdays 10:00am–12:00pm
For June to August 2025:
- Mondays and Wednesdays 8:00pm–10:00pm
- Saturdays 10:00am–12:00pm
All practices are in central or west Richmond. Field schedule will be distributed to players at the start of the season.
Team Fees
- Fees for the regular season* are $650 (incl. GST and VUL membership)
- Upon qualification to the Canadian Ultimate Championships**, an additional $500 (incl. GST)
*Regular season fees cover fields, insurance, jerseys, equipment, regional tournament fees, coaching and administration fees. Fees are payable by credit card only upon offer of a position.
**Hosted in Edmonton for 2025, this fee goes towards your accommodation (priority to host partners), UC fees, transport from venue to hotel (host shuttle), equipment rental, coaching and administration fee. You will be responsible to arrange your own transport to Edmonton and back.

Players who are offered a position on the Royals Adult Touring Team will be given instructions on how to register for the full season.
Ace Overview
Ace Womens is our newest adult team, which aims to represent Richmond at the Canadian Ultimate Championships in Edmonton, AB. The summer season runs from April to August, including tryouts, practices, and tournaments. Practices are three nights weekly in Richmond.

Fees cover fields, facilities, jerseys, equipment, coaching staff, accommodations in Edmonton, and Ultimate Canada fees. Practice roster players are eligible for all practices and tournaments except BCUC and CUC, and will receive a full jersey kit. Fees are payable by credit card only upon offer of a position.
