VUL Teams Bring Home Two Medals from CUC Edmonton

Vancouver Ultimate is proud to celebrate the performances of its eight club teams that competed at the 2025 Canadian Ultimate Championships (CUC) in Edmonton, Alberta this month.

Canyon Open earned bronze in the Junior Open division, defeating Team Manitoba 11–8. This marks a second consecutive bronze medal for the North Shore squad.

Royals Mixed, based in Richmond, made an incredible run from 12th seed to claim silver in the Senior Mixed division. With this finish, the team qualifies to represent Canada at the 2026 World Ultimate Club Championships in Ireland. A replay of their silver medal game is available on YouTube.

Surrey’s Vortex Womens climbed from 17th seed to a 4th place finish following a standout quarterfinal victory.

Alongside these notable finishes, Vancouver Ultimate celebrates all teams that showcased their best talent and spirit on the national stage, achieving the following results:

Junior Womens Division

  • Canyon (North Shore): 6th place
  • Vintage (Surrey): 18th place
  • Reign (Richmond): 22nd place

Junior Open Division

  • Reign (Richmond): 12th place
  • Vortex (Richmond): 17th place

Congratulations to all VUL teams, athletes, coaches, and supporters who took part in CUC Edmonton. Their collective efforts continue to make Metro Vancouver a standout community in Canadian ultimate.
