Description
HISTORY:
Norfolk-n-Good are a local team formed around 2000 with VSSC individuals. The group held together for the summer and then joined the VUL in the fall.
Once granted a taste of the VUL style, NfG decided to leave the VSSC and become a VUL summer team.
After playing for a few years, the original members eventually set off in their various directions: families, careers, and higher divisions. The current group (generation 6) is a friendly mix of returning players and fresh new members with the original captain and the odd earlier generation player from time to time.
PLAYING STYLE:
Everyone plays, nobody sits. If you aren't getting disc time, you will. We enjoy applying ourselves and learning new tricks. We try strategy and plays every year. We try hard to have enough players warmed up for game time and prefer to start games promptly. But on the other end, we are ready to zip over to a pub or restaurant for a snack and some beverages after the games.
ABOUT THE NAME:
Although it's spelled -Norfolk and Good-, the name is pronounced -Nuffuckengood- to honour how natives from the various Norfolks (Virginia, Britain, Oceania) pronounce -Norfolk-.
IDENTIFYING COLOURATION:
The team is made up of people with green torsos whose limb colours vary widely. Alternatively, the team can be seen with white torsos if they encounter a luckier green team.
We are Norfolk-n-Good, why flick a disc to anyone else?
