The Vancouver Ultimate Hall of Fame recognizes the community builders, pioneers, and teams whose contributions have helped shape Vancouver Ultimate into what it is today.

Laurel Stroppa Atwood and William Arthur Hawkins Spirit Awards
Our highest honour for current Vancouver Ultimate members, the Spirit Awards recognize individuals who demonstrate exemplary leadership in Spirit of the Game throughout the year.
Awarded: Annually
Eligibility: The ten highest-ranked spirit recipients across adult leagues from Fall through Summer
Nomination: By endorsement from team captains

Captain of the Year
Awarded to an adult league captain who demonstrates exemplary leadership, creates an inclusive and supportive team environment, and makes a lasting positive impact on their team and the wider Vancouver Ultimate community.
Awarded: Annually
Eligibility: Captains or assistant captains of adult league teams from Fall through Summer
Nomination: By members
Selection: By a committee of senior staff
Community Impact Award — EDI
Awarded to an individual who has made a meaningful contribution to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion within the Vancouver Ultimate community.
Awarded: Annually
Eligibility: Any active member aged 19+

Community Impact Award — Adult
Awarded to an individual who has made a significant contribution to growing and strengthening adult ultimate in their community through development opportunities, supportive team cultures, Spirit of the Game, or other meaningful initiatives.
Awarded: Annually
Eligibility: Any active member aged 19+
Nomination: By members
Selection: By a committee of senior staff
Community Impact Award — Youth
Awarded to an individual who has made a significant contribution to growing and strengthening youth ultimate in their community through development opportunities, supportive team cultures, Spirit of the Game, or other meaningful initiatives.
Awarded: Annually
Eligibility: Any active youth or adult member
Nomination: By members
Selection: By a committee of senior staff
Youth Coach of the Year
Awarded to an outstanding junior club coach who demonstrates exceptional leadership, coaching ability, and Spirit of the Game while supporting the development, confidence, and enjoyment of their youth players.
Awarded: Annually
Eligibility: Any active coach of a Canyon, Misfit, Reign, or Vortex team
Nomination: By members, with endorsement from junior club coordinators
Selection: By a committee of senior staff
Youth Player of the Year — Leadership
Awarded to a youth player who demonstrates exceptional leadership both on and off the field and has a positive impact on their teammates and community.
Awarded: Annually
Eligibility: Any active youth player on a Canyon, Misfit, Reign, or Vortex team
Nomination: By members, with endorsement from the player’s team coach
Selection: By a committee of senior staff
Youth Player of the Year — Spirit
Awarded to a youth player who demonstrates exceptional Spirit of the Game both on and off the field and consistently contributes to a positive playing environment.
Awarded: Annually
Eligibility: Any active youth player on a Canyon, Misfit, Reign, or Vortex team
Nomination: By members, with endorsement from the player’s team coach
